2 Random Things

This is a cake we were asked to do a while back and we just got the photos from it. It was a take off of Momofuku's Beer/Ganache/Wedding Cake. It turned out well for being out of our style zone. The customer was happy and we got to slip outside our zone as well.
This is a view from the bridge adjacent to DeLuxe. A 1930's steam engine rolled by and we all got a peak. Visually, it was stunning and it sounded magnificent. It was such a treat for all of us in the front and back of the house to see.

Lunch with Leaf Kitchen

This is a little glimpse at what lunch looks like at the bakery. We all eat on lids and sit on sugar/ flour bins. Today we got take out from our awesome neighbors Leaf Kitchen. Their millet salad will keep anyone going all day, ......its TRUE!

Schools out! Grad Sheetcakes are on!

Once in the cooler, there is a risk of never squeezing back out. Living happily ever after with butter, milk, eggs and mousse.
Ellie hand pipes chocolate flowers for each cake. Chocolate flowers are of course matched with school colors!
Caps, scrolls, and fruit all await their grand stance on all cakes
After 5 years, Mary and I have learned to work closely and efficiently...... quite well.
Ellie double, triple checks all orders before landing in the stack of boxes.
