Speed Scooter

Jessica, our high school/ newly college student employee is not only Iowa City's best woman's soccer player, but she has the skills to zip to Hy-Vee on her scooter AND fit 10# of unsalted butter under the seat.

Her and the scooter are key part of the bakery's every day trouble shooting abilities.

This wedding cake is far, far away. Lets hope it makes the commute, petals intacct.

This cake is one of our favorites to do. It sets the tone for a festive birthday bash.

Its a little more $, but worth it for the drama.

The disco glitter dust is not seen, but its on there!

Hurry...it's still warm

This pie is for a special client of ours who requested it be hot upon pick up.

The client hired a driver, (trustee old Leroy), to deliver it to her best friend on his birthday (40 miles away)

We aim to please.

And.....he's off!

Chocolate Mocha Biscotti

These biscotti are particularly good because they hold:

2 pulled shots of Intelligentsia espresso

Vanilla

58% chocolate coins

The rest is the usual....butter, sugar, eggs, flour, powder.

One employee described them as pillows of chocolate, vanilla and coffee.

These will be dipped in chocolate and finished with a sprinkle of cocoa nibs

Prairie Lights and the mother ship will carry them!

Lightning Speed

This cake was done for my sons birthday.....

Thank God the bakery was dead, I could spend time carving, mixing, shaping, coloring, detailing and transporting.

It was fun and I learned a lot about what I would and would not do.....in the future
